The Supreme Court has ruled that police officers who fail to furnish written grounds of arrest must face departmental inquiry, calling the requirement a constitutional safeguard under Article 22(1).అరెస్టుకు రాతపూర్వక కారణాలను సమర్పించడంలో విఫలమైన పోలీసు అధికారులు శాఖాపరమైన విచారణను ఎదుర్కోవాలని సుప్రీంకోర్టు తీర్పు ఇచ్చింది, ఈ నిబంధనను ఆర్టికల్ 22(1) కింద రాజ్యాంగ రక్షణగా పేర్కొంది.
