<p><strong>Asia's Worst City - Bengaluru :</strong> సిగ్నల్ దగ్గర ఓ 5 నిమిషాలు ఆగాలంటేనే తెగ చిరాకు పడిపోతూ ఉంటాం. దానికి తోడు వర్షం తోడైతే.. పరిస్థితి మామూలుగా ఉండదు. ట్రాఫిక్ రద్దీతో అనేక ఇబ్బందులు పడుతూ ఉంటాం. రోజురోజుకూ వాహనాలను వినియోగించే వారి సంఖ్య పెరుగుతుండడంతో ట్రాఫిక్ సమస్య వల్ల రోడ్డుపై అడుగుపెట్టాలంటేనే చాలా మంది భయపడుతూ ఉంటారు. ఇక హైదరాబాద్ లాంటి మెట్రో నగరాల్లో అయితే ప్రత్యేకంగా చెప్పాల్సిన అవసరం లేదు. అంతకంటే ముందు మనం చెప్పాల్సింది బెంగళూరు గురించి. ట్రాఫిక్ జామ్ అనగానే చాలామందికి గుర్తొచ్చే సిటీ ఇది. కొద్ది దూరానికే గంటల గంటలు వేచి చూడాల్సిన పరిస్థితి ఉంటుంది. దీనిపై ఇప్పటికే సోషల్ మీడియాలోనూ అనేక వార్తలు, మీమ్స్ రావడం మనం చూసే ఉంటాం. అయితే ఇప్పుడు ట్రాఫిక్ జామ్ పరంగా ఆసియాలోనే టాప్ 10 నగరాల జాబితాలో బెంగళూరు మొదటి స్థానంలో నిలిచింది.</p>
<p>ట్రాఫిక్ జామ్‌కు కేరాఫ్ అడ్రస్‌గా మారిన బెంగళూరు నగరం రోజుకో అంశంతో వార్తల్లో నిలుస్తూనే ఉంటుంది. తాజాగా టామ్‌టామ్ ట్రాఫిక్ ఇండెక్స్ 2023 తెలిపిన వివరాల ప్రకారం, కేవలం 10 కిలోమీటర్లు ప్రయాణించడానికి అక్కడి డ్రైవర్లు సగటున 28 నిమిషాల 10 సెకన్లు వెచ్చిస్తున్నారు. దీంతో ట్రాఫిక్ జామ్ పరంగా ఆసియాలోని అధ్వానమైన నగరాల్లో ఇప్పుడు బెంగళూరు ఒకటిగా నిలిచింది. అంటే భారతీయ టెక్ హబ్‌లోని నివాసితులు దాదాపు 132 గంటలు ట్రాఫిక్‍‌లోనే ఉండిపోతున్నారు. ఇక దీనికి కారణమేంటన్న విషయంపై విశ్లేషించగా.. వేగంగా పెరుగుతున్న జనాభా, విస్తరిస్తున్న పట్టణ మౌలిక సదుపాయాలు ముందంజలో ఉన్నాయి. ట్రాఫిక్ నిర్వహణను మెరుగుపరిచేందుకు ప్రయత్నాలు చేస్తున్నప్పటికీ, నగరంలోని ట్రాఫిక్ సమస్య మాత్రం అలాగే ఉంటోంది. ఇక పీక్ అవర్స్, వీకెండ్స్, హాలిడేస్‌లో మాత్రం నరకమే అని చెప్పొచ్చు.</p>

స్టాటిస్టా ప్రకారం, బెంగళూరు తర్వాత ట్రాఫిక్ జామ్ పరంగా పశ్చిమ భారతదేశంలోని పుణే రెండో స్థానాన్ని అధిగమించింది. 10 కి.మీ ప్రయాణించడానికి అక్కడి ప్రజలకు 27 నిమిషాల 50 సెకన్లు పడుతుందట. ఆ తర్వాత ఫిలిప్పీన్స్‌లోని మనీలా (27 నిమిషాల 20 సెకన్లు) , తైవాన్‌లోని తైచుంగ్ (26 నిమిషాల 50 సెకన్లు), జపాన్‌లోని సప్పోరో (26 నిమిషాల 50 సెకన్లు), తైవాన్‌లోని కౌహ్ సివుంగ్ (26 నిమిషాలు), జపాన్‌లోని నగోయా (24 నిమిషాల 20 సెకన్లు), ఇండొనేషియాలోని జకార్తా (23 నిమిషాల 20 సెకన్లు) తర్వాతి స్థానాల్లో ఉన్నాయి.</p>
<p>మొత్తం 6 ఖండాలలోని 55 దేశాలలో 387 నగరాలపై అధ్యయనం చేసిన టామ్‌టామ్ ట్రాఫిక్ సూచిక.. ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా ఉన్న నగరాలను వాటి సగటు ప్రయాణ సమయం, ఇంధన ఖర్చులు, కార్భన్ డై యాక్సైడ్(CO2)ఉద్గారాలు వంటి వాటిని ఆధారంగా చేసుకుని అంచనా వేసింది. ఇక ప్రపంచ వ్యాప్తంగా పరిగణిస్తే.. యూకేలోని లండన్‌ అత్యంత నెమ్మదిగా వాహనాలు కదిలే సిటీగా పేరొందింది. ఇక్కడ సగటున 10 కిలోమీటర్ల దూరానికే 37 నిమిషాల 20 సెకన్ల సమయం పడుతుందట.</p>
